Unable to delete Wi-Fi information connected using QR Code

Currently, due to changes in Android specifications, some Android devices are experiencing an issue where "Wi-Fi information connected using QR Code cannot be deleted".

Customers using the following Android devices will likely be affected.

  • Devices with Android 11 or later OS
  • All Wi-Fi information connected using QR Code

"Connected via QR Code" will display below Wi-Fi that was connected using the app.

As an interim measure, there are two ways to handle this issue.

You can delete the connection information or disable the auto-connect feature by using the following methods.

  1. Turn off the auto-connect feature
  2. Turn off Wi-Fi access rights temporarily

Turn off the auto-connect feature

You can turn off the auto-connect feature to a specific Wi-Fi by following the steps below.

Please note that the Wi-Fi information itself will remain without being deleted.

  1. Open your phone's Settings app.

  2. Open "Network & Internet".

  3. Select "Internet".

  4. Select the access point with problem

  5. Turn off "Auto-connect".

  6. Select "Disconnect".

Turn off Wi-Fi access rights temporarily

You can delete the connection information by following the steps below.

Please note that the all Wi-Fi information connected using QR Code will be deleted.

  1. Open your phone's Settings app.

  3. Select "Special app access".

  4. Select "Wi-Fi control".

  5. Select QR Code.

  6. Turn off "Allow app to control Wi-Fi", then turn it on again.
